International Awareness is managed by a President who puts together temporary task forces of voluntary experts and advisors for different projects and events.

Management

Lita Haeger, President Lita Haeger is currently the Chairman and CEO of the Association of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce in Florida (ABiCC), a non-for-profit umbrella organization for over forty bi-national chambers of commerce with a total agregate membership of over 8000 international businesses. Born in Chile and raised in Holland and Spain, Ms. Haeger has an extensive long-term experience in fund-raising for non-for-profit organizations and in organizing major events and activities to raise awareness on major world issues. Ms. Haeger has a passion for international issues, especially those affecting the well-being of people and the world. She has travelled extensively around the world to bear witness on major world issues. She has organized seminars, ocnferences and presentations with a large number of world leaders and experts, such as Lech Walesa of Poland, Oscar Arias of Costa Rica, Violeta Chamorro of Nicaragua, Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada of Bolivia, Leonel Fernandez of Dominican Republic, Enrique Iglesias of the IDB, Cesar Gaviria of the OAS and Eduardo Aninat of the IMF. Ms. Haeger speaks several languages, is married with one child, and lives in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Board of Advisors

	Göran Hellers Göran Hellers is an MD, PhD in general surgery from the Karolinska Medical School in Stockholm, Sweden. He was a Clinical Research Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1982-83. He was the Head of the Department of Surgery at Huddinge University Hospital (Karolinska Institute) in Stockholm for 9 years, he was the General Secretary of the Swedish Surgical Society for 6 years, and he was the Chairman of the Stockholm County Medical Reimbursement Committee for 4 years. He was a Board Member of OMGE (World Society of Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery) for 17 years, and Chairman of its Education Committee for 12 years. He was a Board Member of Dialog AB for 8 years (now Tietoenator). During the last few years, he has been contracted by the World Bank to update public hospitals in Eastern Europe and countries of the former Soviet Union, such as Estonia, Latvia and Georgia, and to advise these countries on the reform of their health care systems.
